BROADWAY TODAY

Saturday February 18, 2012 - 2:00 pm & 8:00 pm

Broadway today

The only thing better than spending an evening at a current Broadway show is spending an evening with ALL of them -- and NOW you CAN!

The Broadway musical is alive and well on the Great White Way! The past few years have seen NYC flush with hit shows including “Wicked,” “The Lion King,” “9 to 5,” “Hair,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Jersey Boys” and “Mamma Mia!” just to name a few.  Now, for the first time, you can relive them all in one crowd-pleasing performance as a rotating cast of 3 current Broadway stars will be featured!

“Broadway Today!” is the concert event that lets audiences experience the music, laughs and thrills from Broadway's most recent seasons performed by some of the leading talent in New York today.  This unique evening was created in response to audience demand for the most recent Broadway hits combined with familiar favorites. "Broadway Today!" brings you the best from the past three seasons on Broadway -- all the new shows, revivals and long-running hits -- in one bright package so you get the most current shows as well as classics like "West Side Story" and "South Pacific." Due to the immediate, up-to-the-minute nature of the show the program is always changing to reflect Broadway's most recent landscape and the cast may change as well. However, you are guaranteed a trio of New York's TOP vocalists delivering the most beloved music of the Great White Way. What could be better?

"Broadway Today" is sure to bring audiences to their feet and leave them walking on air.

Pulling it’s talent directly from the Broadway stage, “Broadway Today” stars include:

JASON GRAAE:  The New York Times recently said, "Nowadays, probably no other performer could infuse (that song) with the manic mischief that Jason Graae, a frisky clown with a real tenor, pumped into it..."
Jason Graae has starred on and off-Broadway in "A Grand Night For Singing", "Falsettos", "Stardust", "Snoopy!", "Do Black Patent Leather Shows Really Reflect Up?", "Forever Plaid", "Olympus on My Mind", "All in the Timing", "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (Drama Desk Nomination- Best Actor in a Musical)" and many more.
Jason made his Metropolitan Opera House debut as featured vocalist in Twyla Tharp's "Everlast" with American Ballet Theatre. Jason has performed his one-man show all over the country, including Rainbow and Stars and Birdland in NYC, Caramoor Music Festival, Wolf Trap, Feinstein's in L.A., and The Plush Room in San Francisco, to name a few. He has received the New York Nightlife Award, 4 Bistros and was listed in TimeOut NY's Top 10 Cabaret shows of 2006.

LISA HOWARD’S Broadway credits include the Tony Award winning Lincoln Center Theater revival of "South Pacific" and the musical comedy "9 to 5." She is most known, however, for her starring role as Rona Lisa Peretti in William Finn’s Tony Award-winning musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," for which she received a Drama Desk Award (Best Ensemble). She recently performed in the world premier of Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas at the Goodspeed Opera House and appeared in the Kaufman Center’s Broadway Close-up Series in "Stephen Schwartz, Magic To Do" and William Finn’s "More Infinite Joy" and "Even More Infinite Joy."

JESSICA HENDY Ms Hendy’s Broadway credits include CATS in the role of “Grizabella”, AIDA, in the role of “Amneris”, and AMOUR as the standby to the lead women characters.  She toured The United States and Canada in, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT as “The Narrator”, and CATS, as “Grizabella”.  She has been in numerous Off-Broadway, and Pre-Broadway workshops including, AIDA, DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, THE MOLLY MAGUIRE’S, and THE JENNY WILEY STORY.  Regionally, she played “Woman #1” in SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD at The Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center.  “Ellen” in MISS SAIGON at Pittsburg Civic light Opera, and North Shore Music Theatre. In New York City she won a Bistro Award for “Get Your Tickets Now”, and rave reviews for her on woman Cabaret “A Life To Call Your Own”.  She recently won an Acclaim Award for her portrayal of “Jeanne” in THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL at Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati.
